We try to process all orders, where possible, within 24 hours. Whilst most items will be despatched within one working day, please allow 3-5 days for delivery within the UK. 5-7 days for Europe and 7-14 days Rest of World. Payment: We accept payment by Cash (sent by registered mail)and Cheques. We also accept Credit and Debit card payments which are processed through PROTX. In addition to these payment methods we are now able to offer PayPal, the safe online payment system that allow you to pay with your credit or debit card. Buyers from outside the UK please note: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES OR MONEY ORDERS IN ANY OTHER CURRENCY OTHER THAN GB POUNDS STERLING??s Packaging: At Trainsontime, we want you to receive your purchase in the same great condition it left us. We use only good quality, new materials for packaging and take great care to insure that happens. We too buy online and can assure you NO ONE takes better care of your purchases. In the unlikely event that an item should arrive damaged due to our negligence, simply return the item and a replacement will be mailed out within one working day, free of any charge. Deliveries to UK mainland Postage is charged at a fixed price of £4.50 per total order. Items mailed within the UK will be sent via 1st class recorded delivery or via our couriers 'Fastways' which is fully insured and trackable online. Heavier items may be sent Parcel Force 24 hour and will normally be insured for the full replacement value of the item. If a buyer requires enhanced insurance, Special Delivery or an expedited service please email the above for a quote BEFORE placing your order. Trainsontime reserves the right to replace any of the above services, without notice, for a similar or enhanced service, where we deem it to be more appropriate. Overseas & non-mainland UK: For European and non-mainland UK deliveries, we use Parcelforce's Euro 48 service which is trackable on line and fully insured. It is a fixed price per country and limited to 15Kg per total order. This service can be purchased here and added to your shopping basket before checkout Items mailed outside the EU will normally be sent via Royal mail Airsure and insured for £39.00. Items over 2Kg will be sent via Parcelforce and charged at cost. Returns: If you are not happy with your purchase, please return it to us within 7 days. We will make a refund, provided the goods are returned in perfect condition and in their original packaging. Please return the delivery note with the item and state the reason for the return. We do not refund postage costs unless an item arrives damaged due to our negligence. Items lost or damaged in the post that have been packed correctly are usually insured, we will fill out any necessary claims forms at the post office on your behalf and liaise with the correct Postal service to achieve a satisfactory outcome on your behalf. In the event that this becomes necessary please be aware a refund will be made as soon as we have clearance from the Royal mail/Parcel force, this can take several weeks but we will endeavour to keep you informed of all developments as appropriate. WEEE REGULATIONS TRAINSONTIME is committed to helping the Government meet its targets under new EU legislation known as The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive which is now in force. This is designed to help local authorities, businesses and households make better use of old electrical goods by recycling as much as possible and preventing items which may contain hazardous substances going to landfill.
Old electrical equipment should no longer be thrown out with your general rubbish. You can now ask retailers if they will take products back or, alternatively, you can take old equipment to your nearest civic amenity site. This way, you can help in making recycling much more effective. Please ask a member of staff for details.
If you are purchasing a new product which is battery powered from TRAINSONTIME store or from our website and you have an old one of the same or similar type which you want to throw away, we will take the old one and dispose of it for you at no charge.
If you purchased a new battery powered product from our store/website and want us to dispose of a similar old product for you, please bring the old item into TRAINSONTIME store within 28 days of your purchase. You will be required to show proof of purchase (i.e. the despatch note accompanying your order) for the new product. Website customers can return their product to our address shown on top left of dispatch note. Customers wishing to return a WEEE item via Post must pay for any transport costs incurred in returning the WEEE item to us. Products which are covered by the WEEE Directive are identifiable by a crossed out wheeled bin symbol which must now be shown on goods produced after 13th August 2005.
