These locomotives are highly detailed and are based on the Thomas the Tank Engine television series.

The Thomas the Tank Engine range now includes Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, Spencer, Emily, Mavis, Salty, Bill & Ben. Bachmann have announced that they will also be introducing Donald & Douglas in 2011.

They are classed as OO/HO scale and are slightly smaller than the Hornby range though are fully compatible with the Hornby range of Engines,wagons and coaches, they also run on standard Hornby Track.

All of the Bachmann range of Thomas the tank engine locomotives have moving eyes whilst the engine is in motion.
